How to Improve the Print Speed by Selecting the Type of Paper
Print speed changes depending on the type of paper and the basis weight. You can improve productivity by choosing a paper consciously to meet your needs. Check the solution below.
Relationship between Types of Paper and Print Speed

For example, if you use a paper type whose basis weight is 221 g/m2, Heavy 5 is a normal choice for the type of paper. In this case, the print speed slows down to two thirds of the print speed of Heavy 4, whose basis weight is 220 g/m2. In this way only 1 g/m2 of the basis weight creates about 1.5 times difference in the print speed. You can improve productivity by using a paper type whose basis weight is 220 g/m2, not 221 g/m2.

Print speed changes not just according to the basis weight, by the type of paper as well.
The print speed may differ from those in the table depending on the amount of images and the room temperature.
