[Windows] The device to use is not displayed in the installer (when connecting via WSD port)
If the device and computer are connected using a WSD port, one of the following methods may be able to resolve the problem.
Check the settings of the device
Settings must be configured on the device to discover a device on a network using a WSD port.
Install the appropriate driver after confirming that the device is configured as indicated below.
Enable both [Use WSD] and [Multicast Discovery Settings]
Make the setting in [PDL Selection (Plug and Play)] match the page description language of the driver
For details about the setting method for the page description language (plug and play) function of the device, refer to the manual of the device.
Check the network settings of the operating system
The operating system must be set to discover a device on a network using a WSD port.
Follow the procedure below to change the network settings.

Click [Network & Internet] on the [Settings] screen of Windows.

Click [Status] - [Change connection properties].

Select [Private] in [Network profile].
Uninstall the installed driver
The device is not displayed in the discovery results if the driver corresponding to the device is already installed.
Uninstall the driver corresponding to the device, and then perform discovery again.
