Toner is not Applied Properly to the Image

Temperature for fixing toner does not match the specific characteristics of the paper. Check the solutions below.

Remedy
To improve this situation, adjust the value for <Adjust Gloss/Fine Black> to match the specific characteristics of the paper.
IMPORTANT
This function is displayed only if the settings are made available by your local authorized Canon dealer. Even if this function is displayed, do not allow anyone to change the settings except for the system manager. For more information on changing the settings, contact your local authorized Canon dealer.
Press  → [Preferences] → [Paper Settings] → [Paper Type Management Settings] → select the type of paper you are using that is having this problem → press [Details/Edit] → [Change] for <Adjust Gloss/Fine Black> to adjust [Gloss] toward the plus end.

NOTE
Even when you perform the adjustment above, If toner is not applied on textured paper as expected, perform one or multiple of the following adjustments. This may improve the situation.
Press  → [Preferences] → [Paper Settings] → [Paper Type Management Settings] → select the type of paper you are using that is having this problem → press [Details/Edit] → [Change] for <Adjust Fixing Pressure> to adjust the value toward the plus end.

Press  → [Preferences] → [Paper Settings] → [Paper Type Management Settings] → select the type of paper you are using that is having this problem → press [Details/Edit] → set <Toner Amount Reduction Mode> to [On].

When this setting is specified, the printed image may become faint.
Press  → [Adjustment/Maintenance] → [Adjust Image Quality] → set <High Gloss Mode> to [On].

After you complete a print job, make sure to restore the setting on the machine to prevent the setting being applied to the next print job.
