Glossy Streaks Appear Stretching from the Leading Edge to the Tail Edge on Paper of High Degree of Finish

Glossy streaks may be noticeable on media of a high degree of finish, such as synthetic paper or transparency. Check the solutions below.

Remedy
Selecting <Image Priority> under <Settings for Mixed Paper Type Printing> and setting toward the plus end for <Adjust Gloss/Fine Black> may improve the situation.
Press  → [Adjustment/Maintenance] → [Adjust Image Quality] → [Settings for Mixed Paper Type Printing] → select [Faster Printing for Thin/Plain] or [Same Print Spd. as for Heavy] under [Image Priority].

This function is displayed only if the settings are made available by your local authorized Canon dealer. Even if this function is displayed, do not allow anyone to change the settings except for the system manager. For more information on changing the settings, contact your local authorized Canon dealer.
Press  → [Preferences] → [Paper Settings] → [Paper Type Management Settings] → select the type of paper you are using that is having this problem → press [Details/Edit] → [Change] for <Adjust Gloss/Fine Black> → adjust the value for [Gloss] toward the plus end.
