Correct Colors Are Not Printed due to Color Mismatch

If color mismatch (color misregistration) occurs, it could be caused by the following. Follow the instructions in "Remedy".

Cause

Calibration information has not been retrieved because the communication method has not been switched to bidirectional communication
Remedy
Switch the communication method to bidirectional communication.
(1) Open [System Settings] in macOS → click [Printers & Scanners] in the sidebar.
(2) Select the device to use.
(3) In the displayed dialog, click [Options & Supplies].
(4) In the displayed dialog, click the [Utility] tab → click [Open Printer Utility].
To switch the communication method to bidirectional communication in an environment with macOS 15 or later, the searching of devices on the local network must also be allowed. Perform the following procedure.
NOTE
Depending the printer model you are using, the [Utility] tab may not be displayed. In this case, retrieving calibration information is not available.
(5) Open [System Settings] in macOS → click [Privacy & Security] in the sidebar.
(6) Select [Local Network].
(7) Turn on [Canon MF Printer Utility].
(8) Perform steps (1) to (4) above to switch again the communication method to bidirectional communication.
