[Basic] preferences pane

Configure basic printing functions.

After clicking the [Settings] tab

[Paper Type]
Select the paper type to use for printing.
[Print Style]
Switch between one-sided and two-sided printing.
[Binding Location]
Select the orientation of the gutters.
[Color Mode]
Enables you to switch between color printing and grayscale (black and white) printing.
Selecting [Auto (Color/B&W)] enables the printer to automatically detect whether each page should be printed in color or grayscale.
[Toner Save]
The toner save mode is used to print a test page.
By using the toner save mode, you can print with print density adjusted. The print density adjustment effect increases in the following order (print becomes lighter).
Depending on the printer model you are using, switch between [Off] and [On].
[Mode 1] (Effect: Low)
  ↓
[Mode 2]
  ↓
[Mode 3] (Effect: High)

After clicking the [Adjustments] tab

[Brightness]
Drag the slider from side to side to adjust the brightness of the printed image.
[Contrast]
Drag the slider from side to side to adjust the contrast of the printed image.
