Cannot Register Devices or Scan (macOS 15 or Later)
If you cannot register devices or scan, it could be caused by the following. Follow the instructions in "Remedy".
Cause
An application related to the driver may not be allowed to search for devices on the local network
Remedy
Allow the applications related to the driver to search for devices on the local network.
(1) Open [System Settings] in macOS → click [Privacy & Security] in the sidebar.
(2) Select [Local Network].
(3) Turn on any of the following applications if they are displayed.
[Canon MF Scan Agent]
[MF Toolbox]/[Canon MF Toolbox]
[Canon MFSU Scan Agent]
[Canon MF Scan Utility]
[Canon MFScanner1]
[Canon MFScanner2]
[Canon MFScanner3]
