Configuring the Settings for Copying Properties of a Document

When moving or copying a document between libraries with different property settings, you can configure the settings to copy the property settings of the library only when the names and types of the items are the same. Memos are also copied if they can be handled by the destination library.

Select the [File] menu > [Option] > [System Settings].

The [System Settings] dialog box is displayed.

[System Settings] > [Browser] > [Edit/Operation Documents] > [Copy the values of entries with matching property settings]

Select the [Copy the values of entries with matching property settings] check box.

NOTE

Depending on your settings, the property copy operation differs as follows.

When the check box is selected	The names and types of the properties assigned to the document are checked, and only properties that match are copied. Properties that do not match are not copied.
When the check box is deselected	Properties are not copied only if all of the names, types, and numbers of the properties assigned to the document do not match.

Click [OK].
