Quick Printing Tool Error Codes

If an error code is displayed while you are using Quick Printing Tool, take the steps described in this section to resolve the problem. This section provides short descriptions of common error codes and what to do when then are displayed.

Could not convert the specified documents to PDF.
Message ID: {0}
Cause
It occurs when converting a Word file to a PDF on Quick Printing Tool.
Remedy 1
Change any of the following optional settings for Word, and then convert to PDF on the Quick Printing Tool again.
Select [Basic Settings] > [Microsoft Office User Settings], and enter characters other than a space into [User Name] and [Initial]
Select [Advanced Settings] > [Print], and deselect the [Print in background] check box
Remedy 2
A version of Microsoft Office earlier than Office 2007 may be installed. Desktop supports Microsoft Office 2007/2010/2013/2016.
If this is the case, perform the following to convert documents to PDF format.
1. Open the document with the application associated with the document.
2. In the application, select [Canon Desktop Document Writer] as the printer and perform printing.
3. Select the [File] menu in Desktop Editor > [Export as PDF].
