Starting and Exiting Desktop Browser

This section describes how to start and exit Desktop Browser.

Starting the Desktop Browser

1.
Select the [Start] menu > [All Programs] > [Canon iW] > [iW Desktop] > [iW Desktop].
Double-click the shortcut icon for [iW Desktop] on the desktop of Windows.
NOTE
For Windows 8, click [iW Desktop] in the [Start] screen.
For Windows 8.1, click > > [iW Desktop] in the [Start] screen.
For Windows 10, select the [Start] menu > [All apps] > [Canon iW] > [iW Desktop].
The shortcut for [iW Desktop] is automatically created during installation.
When starting for the first time, a Personal Library is automatically created.

Exiting Desktop Browser

1.
Click (Close) in Desktop Browser.
Or select the [File] menu > [Exit].

Starting and Exiting Desktop Editor

This section describes how to start and exit Desktop Editor.

Starting the Desktop Editor

1.
Select the document in Desktop Browser.
2.
Click (Print Settings) on the output bar.
NOTE
You can also start Desktop Editor by performing one of the following operations.
Select the [Start] menu > [All Programs] > [Canon iW] > [iW Desktop] > [iW Desktop Editor]
Double-click on the shortcut icon for iW Desktop Editor on the desktop of Windows

Exiting Desktop Editor

1.
Click (Exit) in Desktop Editor.
Or select the [File] menu > [Exit].
NOTE
If the [Checked Out Document Confirmation]/[Modify Shared Document] dialog box is displayed after you saved a document, select an appropriate update process and then click [OK].
