Setting the Authentication Function

You can manage printing by means of the department ID management function or the user authentication function.
To set the authentication function, you need to enable it in the default settings. You can configure the default settings by displaying the print settings screen from the icon of the device in [Devices and Printers].
For details about how to enable the authentication function, refer to the help in the print settings screen displayed by the default settings.
NOTE
If you register the authentication information as a default setting, you can reduce the effort required to configure settings when printing.
1.
Display the [Support/Device] sheet.

Click [Authentication Information Settings].
3.
In the displayed screen, enter the authentication information set in the device.
4.
Click [OK].
