Editing Printer Settings

Change the printer settings in the printer property dialog box.
To display the printer properties, select the printer from the main window and perform one of the following.
Click (Properties) on the Toolbar
Select the [File] menu > [Properties].
Double-click a printer whose settings are to be changed
Select [Properties] in the pop-up menu displayed when a printer is right-clicked.
[Printer Name]
Displays the printer name. You can change the displayed printer name. If you are changing the name, you can enter up to 127 characters.
[Port Name]
The name of the configured printer's port is displayed. By selecting the port from the list, you can change the port. However, a maximum of 32 printers can be assigned to an application-enabled port.
[Properties]
The property dialog box of the port is displayed. However, ports that do not support application-enabled ports cannot be displayed.
[Driver Name]
Displays the printer driver name being used.
Note
In [Printer Name], you cannot use a Tab code and following characters:
! , ; = \ [ ] { }
You can change an application-enabled port, standard TCP/IP port or LPT1 port only when it is assigned to the same device.
The port conversion of a printer for which the printer pool is enabled is not supported.
The maximum number of printers for which an application-enabled port can be assigned is 32 per host.
