Error Codes and What to Do About Them

If an error code is displayed while you are using Quick Printing Tool, take the steps described in this section to resolve the problem. This section provides short descriptions of common error codes and what to do when then are displayed.

In some cases, it may not be possible to resolve the problem with the steps described here.
GDT30509
Could not convert the specified documents to PDF.
Message ID: {0}
Cause
It occurs when converting a Word file to a PDF on Quick Printing Tool.
Remedy1
Change any of the following optional settings for Word, and then convert to PDF on Quick Printing Tool again.
Select [Basic Settings] > [Microsoft Office User Settings], and enter characters other than a space into [User Name] and [Initial]
Select [Advanced Settings] > [Print], then deselect the [Print in background] check box
Remedy2
A version of Office earlier than Office 2003 may be installed. Office 2003 and later versions are supported.
If this is the case, perform the following to convert documents to PDF format.
1.Open the document with the application associated with the document.
2.Select and print with the printer [Canon Desktop Document Writer] from the application.
3.In Document Binder, select the [File] menu > [Export as PDF].
