Using the SSL

You can use SSL communication when a MEAP application is used by accessing the machine via a Web browser.

Press

(Settings/Registration).

Press [Management Settings] → [License/Other] → [MEAP Settings].

Press [Use SSL] → [On] → [OK].

Press [Off] to not use SSL communication.

NOTE
Before setting [Use SSL] to 'On', it is necessary to set a default key in [Preferences] (Settings/Registration). (See "Setting the Key Pair Used With SSL Encrypted Communications.") Any changes made are also applied to <Use SSL> in [Remote UI] in [Management Settings] (Settings/Registration). (See "Remote UI.") Changes are only effective after you restart the machine (the main power switch is turned OFF, and then back ON). For instruction on restarting (turning the main power switch OFF and then ON) the machine, see "Before You Start Using This Machine."
