Specifying the Thin/Plain Paper Printing Priority Settings

To prevent the quality of the image from being adversely affected in specific conditions, you can give a priority to quality over productivity.
It is recommended that you select [Quality Priority] in the following conditions:
Successively copying or printing hundreds of originals containing halftones
Soft textured Thin or Plain paper is used
Using paper whose width towards the feeding direction is shorter than that of A4 (11 3/4" (297 mm)), such as LGLR, LTRR, STMTR, or EXECR
High temperature and humidity environment
Paper which has absorbed moisture is used

Press (Settings/Registration).
2.
Press [Function Settings] → [Common] → [Print Settings].
3.
Press [Thin/Plain Paper Printing Priority Settings].
4.
Specify the following setting → press [OK].
Details of each item are shown below.
[Productivity Priority]:
This mode is the default setting. A priority is given to productivity. In specific conditions, the printed image may appear to be wrinkled, although the paper has no wrinkles.
[Quality Priority]:
This mode gives a priority to stability of the image quality and decreases the production speed in incremental steps according to the copy/print progress.

IMPORTANT
If you select [Productivity Priority], the printed image may appear to be wrinkled, although the paper has no wrinkles.
NOTE
When the production in specific conditions has finished, restore the settings to [Productivity Priority].
