Auto Shutdown Time

With the Auto Shutdown mode, if the touch panel display of the machine is idle for a certain period of time after it has entered the Sleep mode, the machine automatically shuts down.
IMPORTANT
This mode is not displayed if the fax board is installed. If it is displayed, set [Auto Shutdown Time] to '0', and contact your local authorized Canon dealer.

Press [Preferences] → [Timer/Energy Settings] → [Auto Shutdown Time].

Press  or  to specify the desired Auto Shutdown Time → press [OK].

IMPORTANT
Even when operating the machine from the Remote UI, the machine automatically shuts down if the touch panel display of the machine is idle for a certain period of time. A malfunction may occur particularly if the machine automatically shuts down while importing. Set [Auto Shutdown Time] to '0' when importing data.
NOTE
If you select '0', the Auto Shutdown mode is invalid.
Even when the machine is in the Sleep mode, the Auto Shutdown mode is invalid in the following cases:
When the fax board is installed
When backing up Mail Box and Advanced Space data
When storing data in the Mail Box and Advanced Space
When the Advanced Space of the machine is being accessed from another imageRUNNER ADVANCE or a computer
When there is a send job
When you are using the Register/Update Software function or firmware update function
When the Fiery Controller (imagePASS) is in the state of Printing/Spooling/Processing. For more information on the Fiery Controller, see the manual provided with the imagePASS.
