Adjusting the Saddle Stitch Position

If you notice that the folds of the paper are not exactly in the middle of the booklet, you can make fine adjustments to the saddle stitch position of the custom paper type.
This mode is available if theSaddle Finisher-AM2 or Booklet Finisher-T1 is attached. (See "Finisher-AM1/Saddle Finisher-AM2/Puncher Unit-BT1/Puncher Unit-BU1" and  "Staple Finisher-T1/Booklet Finisher-T1/External 2/3 Hole Puncher-C1/External 2/4 Hole Puncher-C1/External 4 Hole Puncher-C1.")
IMPORTANT
This function is displayed only if the settings are made available by your local authorized Canon dealer. Even if this function is displayed, do not allow anyone to change the settings except for the system manager. For more information on changing the settings, contact your local authorized Canon dealer.
If theSaddle Finisher-AM2  is attached, you can adjust both the stitch position and fold placement.
If you want to adjust both the stitch position and the fold placement, adjust the stitch position first, and then adjust the fold placement. To adjust the stitch position, see "Adjusting the Saddle Stitch Fold Placement."
If both the stitch position and the fold placement are in the centre of the paper after adjusting the stitch position, the adjustment of the fold placement is not necessary.

Press [Preferences] → [Paper Settings] → [Paper Type Management Settings].

Select the paper type that you want to edit from the list → press [Details/Edit].

Press [Change] for <Change Fold/Stitch Position>.

Press [] or [] to adjust the saddle stitch position → [OK].
If you want the saddle stitch position to shift right toward the printing surface, increase the setting value.
If you want the saddle stitch position to shift left toward the printing surface, decrease the setting value.

Press [OK].
