Setting the Box PIN to 7 Digits/Restricting Access

You can set to improve the security of files stored in the Memory RX Inboxes and Confidential Fax Inbox.
The PIN used when storing a file in the Memory RX Inboxes and Confidential Fax Inbox can be set using at least one digit.
If you set this function to 'On', users are forced to set a seven digit PIN.

Press [Function Settings] → [Store/Access Files] → [Common Settings].

Press [Limit Box PIN to 7 Digits/Restrict Access].
4.
Press [On] → [OK].
Select [Off] if you do not want to force users to set a seven digit Memory RX Inbox and Confidential Fax Inbox PIN.
NOTE
Changes are only effective after you restart the machine (the main power switch is turned OFF, and then back ON). For instruction on restarting (turning the main power switch OFF and then ON) the machine, see "Main Power and Energy Saver Key."

IMPORTANT
If you registered a PIN of fewer than seven digits before you set this function to 'On', you can use the registered PIN. However, to ensure security, register the PIN again using seven digits.
