Feeder Jam Recovery Method

You can select whether scanning will start again from the first page of the document or the page of the document in which scanning was interrupted if a paper jam occurs in the feeder. You can use this mode when using the Copy, Scan and Store, Scan and Send, and Fax (Memory Sending) functions.
This mode can be set when the Color Image Reader Unit-G1 is attached. (See "Color Image Reader Unit-G1.")
1.
Press .
2.
Press [Function Settings] → [Common] → [Scan Settings].
3.
Press [Feeder Jam Recovery Method].
4.
Specify the following setting → press [OK].
Details of each item are shown below.
[From 1st Page]:
Place the originals in the feeder again, and then restart scanning from the first page of the document. The originals will be fed automatically until the page of the document in which scanning is interrupted.
[From Suspnd. Original]:
Place the originals that were not scanned because of a paper jam in the feeder, and then start scanning all the remaining originals again.
IMPORTANT
This function is not available if you are directly sending faxes in the Direct Sending mode. If a paper jam occurs in the feeder when using this mode, the fax job will be cancelled. You need to specify the send settings again.
Depending on the location of a paper jam, it can be difficult to determine until which page of the document scanning has been complete. If you set [From Suspnd. Original] for [Feeder Jam Recovery Method] and you do not find until which page the document has been scanned, it is recommended that you cancel the job, and then execute it again.
