Replacing the Stamp Cartridge (Duplex Color Image Reader Unit-G1)
Originals sent via the Duplex Color Image Reader Unit-G1 can be stamped to indicate that they have been sent. Replace the stamp cartridge when the stamp mark is faint or no longer visible.

IMPORTANT

When replacing the stamp cartridge, take care not to allow ink to come into contact with your hands or clothing. If ink gets onto your hands or clothing, wash it off immediately with cold water.

NOTE
|
|
The Duplex Color Image Reader Unit-G1 is an optional product.
|
1.
Open the feeder, and open the document scan cover.
|
IMPORTANT
|
|
Open the document scan cover carefully, as not to scratch the platen glass.
|
2.
Open the stamp cover.
3.
Insert the stamp cartridge.

1.Remove the old stamp cartridge, using tweezers. |
2.Push in the new stamp cartridge until it clicks. |

IMPORTANT
|
|
Insert the stamp cartridge so that it is not slanted.
Insert the stamp cartridge properly, or paper jams may occur.

4.
Close the stamp cover.
 CAUTION |
|
When closing the cover, be careful not to get your fingers caught, as this may result in personal injury.
|
5.
Close the document scan cover, and the feeder.

When closing the document scan cover and the feeder, be careful not to get your fingers caught, as this may result in personal injury.
Be aware that the light emitted from the platen glass may be very bright when closing the feeder.
