Operations Required Prior to Using the Machine

This section describes the flow of operations and settings required prior to using the machine, for the functions you will use.

*1 To scan colour images with the following resolutions, the Additional Memory Type A (512MB) is required.

*2 To print PDF files, the PS Printer Kit or Direct Print Kit (for PDF/XPS) is required. (Each optional product requires license registration.)

*3 The default setting for displaying Memory Media is [Off]. To use memory media, press [Display Settings] in [Preferences] (Settings/Registration) → set <Memory Media> in [Store Location Display Settings] to [On].
