Designating the Envelope Type
You can use Paper Drawer 2 as an envelope cassette, if you attach the Envelope Feeder Attachment-D1, set the size switch to the appropriate envelope type, and the paper size dial to 'ENV.'.
This mode can be set when the Envelope Feeder Attachment-D1 is attached. (See "Envelope Feeder Attachment-D1.")

This procedure is necessary only if the Envelope Feeder Attachment-D1 is attached to Paper Drawer 2.
Make sure that you change the envelope settings according to the procedures described here before changing the settings of the envelope drawer. (See "Loading Envelopes Using the Envelope Feeder Attachment-D1 (Optional).") Otherwise, the machine may not recognize the changes you have made.

(Settings/Registration).

Press [Preferences] → [Paper Settings] → [Register Envelope Drawer].

Select [ENV.1] or [ENV.2] → select the envelope type → press [OK].
Make sure that the selected envelope type is the same envelope type that is loaded in Paper Drawer 2.
