Formatting PDF Files to PDF/A
You can create PDF files compliant with PDF/A-1b. This is suited for long-term storage because it guarantees that the display of the PDF does not change with the machine or viewing software.

Press

Press [Function Settings] → [Common] → [Generate File].

Press [Format PDF to PDF/A].
4.
Press [On] → [OK].
Select [Off] if you do not want to format PDF files as PDF/A.

This setting is disabled when sending a fax or I-fax.
