Before Replacing the Toner Cartridge

If the toner nearly runs out, follow the procedure below before replacing the toner cartridge. You may print for some time, until the toner completely runs out.

Hold the operation panel.

Lift the scanning platform.
 If you cannot lift the scanning platform: |

Ensure that the feeder is completely closed.
Do not try to forcefully lift the scanning platform, as this may damage the machine.

Hold the grip on the right front side of the toner cover.

Open the toner cover.

Remove the toner cartridge.

Gently shake the toner cartridge five or six times to evenly distribute the toner.

Insert the toner cartridge.
Fit the protrusions (A) on each side of the toner cartridge into the guides located on each side of the machine. Slide the toner cartridge into the machine, until the toner cartridge meets the back of the machine.

Close the toner cover.
 If you cannot close the toner cover:Make sure that the toner cartridge is properly installed in the machine.
Do not try to forcefully close the toner cover, as this may damage the machine.

Lower the scanning platform.

If white streaks or faded parts continue to appear after following the procedure in the section above, replace the toner cartridge.
