The Status of the Paper Feeder Cannot Be Obtained Automatically

If you cannot specify the settings for Drawer 2 (optional) in [Paper Source] or [Register Paper Sizes], specify the status of the paper feeder using the following procedure.

Open the printer folder.
"Basic Operations/Various Information for Windows"

Right-click the icon for this printer, and then select [Properties] or [Printer properties] from the pop-up menu.

Obtain the status of the paper feeder.

Display the [Device Settings] sheet.
(2)
Click [Get Device Status].
(3)
Click [Yes] to obtain the status of the paper feeder.
 If the status of the paper feeder is not obtained
Remove the paper feeder once, and then install it again.
If the status of the paper feeder cannot be obtained even by installing it again, see the following and make sure that the printer and computer can communicate with each other.
"Printing Cannot Be Performed (USB Connection)"
"Printing Cannot Be Performed (LAN Connection)"
"Printing Cannot Be Performed (via the Print Server)"
