The Printer Cannot Be Searched for

If the printer cannot be searched for when you are in the process of installing the printer driver, perform the following procedure.

Make sure that the LAN cable is connected properly, and the printer is turned ON.

Click [Search Again] to search again for the printer on the network.
Make a search again for the printer on the network.
Install the printer driver by following the procedure for automatically searching for a printer on a network described in the “Printer Driver Installation Guide.”

 If the printer cannot be searched for (no devices are displayed) even by performing the above procedure

Set [Interface Selection] in [Network] to [On].

Set the IP address.

Recover your printer from Sleep mode or set [Sleep Mode] to [Low (Panel Sleep)] or [Off].
