Remote UI

This mode enables you to use the Remote UI (User Interface) to operate the machine and change settings.

Press

(Settings/Registration).

Press [Management Settings] → [License/Other] → [Remote UI].

Press [On] → specify each setting → press [OK].

Press [Off] to disable setting the machine from the Remote UI.

Press [On] for <Use SSL> to use SSL communication.

NOTE
Before setting <Use SSL> to 'On', it is necessary to set a default key in [Preferences] (Settings/Registration). (See "Setting the Key Pair Used With SSL Encrypted Communications.") Any changes made to <Use SSL> are also applied to [Use SSL] in [MEAP Settings] in [Management Settings] (Settings/Registration). (See "MEAP Settings.")

NOTE
For more information on the Remote UI, see "Remote UI." Settings specified from the control panel become effective after the machine is restarted, after the procedure. If <Perform Apply Setting Changes from Settings/Regist.> is displayed on the bottom of the touch panel display, you can press [Apply Set. Chng.] in (Settings/Registration) to restart the machine. For information on restarting the machine using the main power switch, see"Main Power and Energy Saver Key."
