Text/Photo Priority in a Black-and-White Original

To "Settings/Registration Table."
You can set the image priority used when the Automatic Colour Selection mode detects that the original is in black-and-white.
1.
Press .
2.
Press [Function Settings] → [Common] → [Print Settings].
3.
Press [Text/Photo Priority When ACS Is Set to Black].
4.
Specify the following settings → press [OK].
Details of each item are shown below:
[Text Priority]:
Have sharper text when printing or making copies of originals with fine or faint characters.
[Photo Priority]:
Have cleaner photos when printing or making copies.
NOTE
If you select [Text Priority] and the Automatic Colour Selection mode detects that the original is in black-and-white, the original is processed as if you selected [Text] as the original type setting, even if you select a mode other than [Text] for [Original Type] in [Copy].
