Forwarding Settings
You can set the machine to store received fax/I-fax documents in the Confidential Fax Inbox, or forward them to other machines or file servers. If a received document matches the specified forwarding conditions, it is forwarded to the specified destination. You can also set a time during which received fax/I-fax documents which match the forwarding conditions are forwarded. This section explains the conditions for forwarding, and how to register, change, and delete forwarding destinations.
Optional products are required to receive faxes/I-faxes. For information on the optional products, see
"Optional Products Required for Each Function."
When the machine receives I-fax/fax documents, they are processed as shown below:
*1 If the subaddress and password attached to the received document match the information registered in [Forwarding Settings], the documents are forwarded to their forwarding destinations regardless of the receive password setting.
*2 If you set <Store/Print Received File> to 'On' in [Forwarding Settings] in [Function Settings] (Settings/Registration), forwarded documents are either printed or stored in the Memory RX Inbox.
*3 If the subaddress and password attached to the received document do not match the information registered in [Forwarding Settings] in [Function Settings] (Settings/Registration), the document is rejected.
*4 If you set [Forward w/o Conditions] in [Forwarding Settings] (Settings/Registration), all received documents that do not match the specified forwarding conditions are forwarded to the destination selected for Forward w/o Conditions.
*5 If documents are received while there is a paper jam, or paper or toner has run out, they are printed after the paper jam is cleared, paper is loaded, or toner is added.
*6 If you set [Delete Failed TX Jobs] to 'Off' in [Function Settings] (Settings/Registration), the status of any job with a forwarding error will be saved on the Status Monitor/Cancel screen.
*7 Documents with forwarding errors are handled based on the settings for [Handle Files with Forwarding
Errors] in [Function Settings] (Settings/Registration). The settings are as follows:
|
[Always Print]: All documents with forwarding errors are printed.
[Store/Print]: Documents with forwarding errors are stored in the Memory RX Inbox, if Memory Lock is turned 'On'. If Memory Lock is turned 'Off', the documents are printed.
|
*8 If you specify an e-mail address for [Fwd Done Notice] to 'On' in [Forwarding Settings] in [Function Settings] (Settings/Registration), a notification e-mail is sent when the forwarding job completes successfully.
*9 If you also set [Notice Only for Errors] to 'On', in [Forwarding Settings] in [Function Settings] (Settings/Registration) a notification e-mail is sent only when the document fails to be forwarded.
*10 You can store received fax/I-fax documents in the Confidential Fax Inbox by specifying it as a forwarding destination. Only received documents that match the specified forwarding conditions will be stored in the Confidential Fax Inbox.
NOTE
|
No extra jobs can be processed when the memory is full.
You can store up to 1,000 forwarding settings.
