Matching Method

[Perceptual]*, [Saturation], [Colorimetric]

This setting allows you to specify a method of printing when the RGB source profile is applied. This machine includes a colour management system that provides the following colour rendering styles.
Settings can be applied separately for text, graphics, and image data.

[Perceptual]

This setting produces the best results for photographic or bitmapped images.

[Saturation]

This setting is best suited for printing illustrations and diagrams used in business presentations.

[Colorimetric]

This setting provides a close match to the RGB colour value of the machine's printing range.

NOTE
Selecting [Normal] or [TR Normal] in [Output Profile] and [Perceptual] in [Matching Method] is equivalent to setting 'Matching Method' to 'Perceptual(Normal)' in the printer driver.
Selecting [Photo] or [TR Photo] in [Output Profile] and [Perceptual] in [Matching Method] is equivalent to setting 'Matching Method' to 'Perceptual(Photographic)' in the printer driver.
Selecting [Photo] or [TR Normal] in [Output Profile] and [Saturation] in [Matching Method] is equivalent to setting 'Matching Method' to 'Vivid Photo' in the printer driver.
If you select [None] for [RGB Source Profile] or [CMYK Simulation Profile], and the machine receives a device dependent colour space definition that is colour processed by the host computer, a Matching Method setting is not applied.
