Deleting Old Data from the Machine

If you are using the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2020, depending on the region, you can expand the memory capacity of your machine using the 2.5inch/80GB HDD. When expanding the memory, data stored in the machine's memory (such as registered information in the Address Book) is copied to the 2.5inch/80GB HDD. In this case, data remaining on the machine becomes inaccessible, and data cannot be encrypted even with the HDD Data Encryption Kit. Thus, we recommend that you use this function to delete old data from the machine for security reasons.
For information on expanding the memory capacity of your machine using the 2.5inch/80GB HDD, contact your local authorized Canon dealer. For information on the 2.5inch/80GB HDD, see "System Options."
When expanding the memory using the 2.5inch/80GB HDD, backup or export any necessary data beforehand. For information on backing up/exporting data, see "Backing Up/Exporting Data."

This function is only available if you are using the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2020 and you have expanded the memory capacity using the 2.5inch/80GB HDD.
