Duplex Unit-C1 (Optional)
If a paper jam occurs inside the Duplex Unit-C1, follow the procedure described below to remove the jammed paper.

This procedure is necessary only when the optional Duplex Unit-C1 is attached.

Remove any paper jammed from the output tray.

Press the button on the left cover of the main unit, and open the left cover.

Remove any jammed paper that is protruding from the upper and lower parts of the duplex unit.
If there is any jammed paper in the machine itself, proceed to step 4.
 CAUTION |

Some parts of the Duplex Unit-C1 are subject to high temperatures. When removing jammed paper, take care not to touch anything in this unit.

NOTE
|
|
When removing the jammed paper from the bottom of the duplex unit, pull the jammed paper obliquely downward. Do not pull the jammed paper vertically downward.

Open the drawer 1 left cover.

Remove any jammed paper.

Close the drawer 1 left cover.

CAUTION |
|
When closing the drawer 1 left cover, be careful not to get your fingers caught, as this may result in personal injury.
|

Place your hand where the hand symbol is located on the left cover of the main unit, and then gently close the left cover until it clicks into place in the closed position.
