[Device Settings] Sheet
You can configure print options and administrator settings.
[Output Method]
Enables you to switch the method for outputting print data. You can save the data to the printer or set a PIN for the data.
[Print]
Performs normal printing.
[Hold]
Saves print data in a hold queue (temporary storage area) in the printer. You can change the print order or settings of the stored data from the control panel of the printer or the Remote UI.
[Settings] [Name Setting] Dialog Box Enables you to set the document name displayed on the control panel or Remote UI.
[Secured Print]
You can attach a PIN to print data and save it in the printer. This function is useful when printing confidential documents etc. The saved data can be printed by entering the PIN in the control panel of the printer.
[Settings] [Secured Print Settings] Dialog Box Enables you to set the document name, user name, and PIN displayed on the control panel or Remote UI.
[Store]
Saves the print data to a box in the printer. You can change the settings of or combine the stored data from the control panel of the printer or the Remote UI.
[Settings] [Store Destination] Dialog Box Enables you to set the document name and destination box number displayed on the control panel or Remote UI.
[Device Settings]
Sets the paper output options and paper source options, etc. attached to the printer.
When using two-sided printing or booklet printing, select [2-sided Printing].
Select [Secure Watermark Function of Device] to use the Secure Watermark Kit.
Select [Secure Printing Function of Device] to use the Job Lock Expansion Kit.
[Job Accounting]
Performs print management using the department ID management function. The ID and PIN must be entered when printing or saving settings.
This function can be enabled by logging in as an account with super user privileges.
[Settings] [ID/PIN Settings] Dialog Box
Enables you to set the ID and PIN registered in the printer. Leave the PIN blank if it is not registered.
If you are logged in as a general user, use a command to set them.
[Dept. ID Management Authentication]/[Secured Print Authentication]
Select the authentication method supported by the printer.
[Do Not Use Job Accounting When B&W Printing]
If you are using the department ID management function, selecting the [Quality] sheet > [Color Mode] > [Black and White] enables black-and-white printing without authentication.
[Use User Authentication Function]
Performs print management using the user authentication function. The user name and PIN must be entered when printing or saving settings.
This function can be enabled by logging in as an account with super user privileges.
[Settings] [User Name/PIN Settings] Dialog Box
Enables you to set the user name and PIN registered in the printer. Leave the PIN blank if it is not registered.
If you are logged in as a general user, use a command to set them.
