Quality - Image Processing

You can set the processing to perform, such as smoothing and sharpness.
Specify a function supported by the model you are using.

Options

Resolution
Specifies the print resolution in dpi (dots per inch).
CNLineControl
Improves reproduction of text and lines by using the Line Control function.
To give priority to the resolution, specify Resolution. To give priority to the reproduction of gradations, specify Gradation.
CNImageRefinement
Smooths the contours of text, lines, and images by using the Image Refinement function.
CNLineRefinement
Widens small text and barcodes for higher visibility by using the Line Refinement function.
CNAdvancedSmoothing
Smooths the contours of text, lines, and images by using the Advanced Smoothing function.
Smooth2 gives priority to gradation more than Smooth1.
CNSharpness / CNHyperSharpness
Strengthens and blurs the contours of text and images by using the Sharpness function or Sharpness (Photo) function.
The CNSharpness option is specified with a value from -3 (weak) to 3 (strong). 0 is the default value.
The CNHyperSharpness option is specified with a value from -1 (weak) to 3 (strong). 0 is the default value.
CNOptimizeImageComp
Optimizes switching between lossy and lossless compression according to the content of the data by using the Image Compression Optimization function.
CNWidthAdjustment
Enhances the width of text and lines by using the Width Adjustment function.

Example

To print the file "sample.txt" with the following setting:
Line Control: Gradation Priority
$ lpr sample.txt -o CNLineControl=Gradation
