Quality - Toner Adjustment

You can adjust the toner density and volume.
Specify a function supported by the model you are using.

Format

lpr <file path>
-o CNTonerDensity={None | <Toner Density>}
-o CNTonerSaving={Auto | True | False}
-o CNDraftMode={Auto | True | False}
-o CNTonerVolumeAdjustment={None | Normal | Gradation | Text}
-o CNSmallSizeCurl={None | On | Off}
-o CNColorTonerVolumeAdjustment={None | Off | Level1 | Level2}

Options

CNTonerDensity
Specifies the toner density with a value from 1 (low) to 17 (high). 9 is the default value.
CNTonerSaving
Thins out the data to print using the Toner Save function or Ink Saving function.
CNDraftMode
Thins out the data to print using the Toner Save function or Draft Mode function.
CNTonerVolumeAdjustment
Adjusts the amount of toner to match the content of the print data by using the Toner Volume Adjustment function.
For data that contains many graphics or computer graphics using gradations, specify Gradation. For data that contains mainly text, specify Text.
CNColorTonerVolumeAdjustment
Reduces the toner volume when printing in color to prevent too much toner from being applied by using the Adjust Toner Volume Used for Color Printing function.
To reduce the toner volume for areas with high color density, specify Level1. To reduce the overall toner density, specify Level2.

Example

To print the file "sample.txt" with the following setting:
Toner Save: Use
Toner Volume Adjustment: Text Priority
$ lpr sample.txt -o CNTonerSaving=True -o CNTonerVolumeAdjustment=Text
