Cautions for Installation

Note the following during installation.
The driver package where the required modules are stored depends on your environment. Refer to the following to select the driver package suitable for your environment.
For UOS
CANON_LINUX¥UFRII¥multilingualization¥linux-UFRII-drv-vxxx-uos-nn.tar.gz
For Kylin OS
CANON_LINUX¥UFRII¥multilingualization¥linux-UFRII-drv-vxxx-kylin-nn.tar.gz
For other operating systems
CANON_LINUX¥UFRII¥multilingualization¥linux-UFRII-drv-vxxx-m17n-nn.tar.gz
"xxx" is the driver version. "nn" differs according to the model.
When installing the driver or registering a printer using the Canon Printer Setup Utility, start the CUPS spooler service first.
If the CUPS status cannot be displayed in the network environment in which the IP address of your computer is specified, you must set CUPS security.
Add the IP address of the computer using CUPS to the following items in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf and restart CUPS.

For information on the security settings, etc. related to networks for using CUPS, see the manual for CUPS.
If you want to update version 3.70 or an earlier version of the driver to version 5.00 or later, delete the registered printers, then uninstall the existing driver before installing version 5.00 or later.
