Using the SSL

You can use SSL communication when a MEAP application is used by accessing the machine via a Web browser.

Press

(Settings/Registration).

Press [Management Settings] → [License/Other] → [MEAP Settings].

Press [Use SSL] → [On] → [OK].

Press [Off] to not use SSL communication.

NOTE
Before setting [Use SSL] to 'On', it is necessary to set a default key in [Preferences] (Settings/Registration). (See "Setting the Key Pair Used With SSL Encrypted Communications.") Any changes made are also applied to <Use SSL> in [Remote UI] in [Management Settings] (Settings/Registration). (See "Remote UI.") Settings specified from the control panel become effective after the machine is restarted, after the procedure. If <Perform Apply Setting Changes from Settings/Regist.> is displayed on the bottom of the touch panel display, you can press [Apply Set. Chng.] in (Settings/Registration) to restart the machine. For information on restarting the machine using the main power switch, see "Main Power and Energy Saver Key."
