Printing Files from the Printer Using FTP Client

You can print files from the printer by accessing the FTP server of the printer using FTP Client.
IMPORTANT
When performing FTP printing, select the [Use FTP Print] check box.

Run Command Prompt.
NOTE
Run Command Prompt using the following procedure.
If you are using Windows Vista/7/Server 2003/Server 2008
From the [Start] menu, select [All Programs] or [Programs] → [Accessories] → [Command Prompt].
If you are using Windows 8/8.1/Server 2012/Server 2012 R2
Right-click the lower-left corner of the screen → select [Command Prompt]
If you are using Windows 10
Right-click [ ] → select [Command Prompt]
If you are using UNIX
Display the console screen.

Copy the file to be printed in the directory displayed in Command Prompt.

Enter "ftp <the IP address of the printer>" in Command Prompt, and then press the [ENTER] key on your keyboard.
Input Example: "ftp 192.168.0.215"
 If you are not sure about the IP address of the printer
Consult your network administrator.

Enter the FTP print user name, and then press the [ENTER] key on your keyboard. 
The default user name is "guest".
You cannot perform an anonymous login.

Enter the FTP print password, and then press the [ENTER] key on your keyboard.
The default password is "7654321".

Enter "put <the name of the file to be printed>", and then press [ENTER] on your keyboard.
Input Example: "put sample.txt"
The file is printed from the printer.
IMPORTANT
When printing a file
Print the file in the binary mode.

Enter "quit", and then press the [ENTER] key on your keyboard.

Enter "exit", and then press the [ENTER] key on your keyboard.
Command Prompt closes.
