IMPORTANT |
This mode is invalid when you copy or print on the tab paper, pre-punched paper, letterhead, and envelopes. |
[Standard]: | This mode is the default setting. Select this mode when you use both thin paper (less than 34 lb bond (128 g/m2)) and heavy paper (more than 35 lb bond (129 g/ m2)). |
[Thin Paper Priority]: | Select this mode when you mainly use thin paper (less than 34 lb bond (128 g/m2)). Productivity is increased compared to selecting [Standard]. |
[Heavy Paper Priority]: | Select this mode when you mainly use heavy paper (more than 35 lb bond (129 g/ m2)). Productivity is increased compared to selecting [Standard]. |
IMPORTANT |
When you select [Thin Paper Priority] and print on heavy paper (more than 35 lb bond (129 g/ m2)), or select [Heavy Paper Priority] and print on thin paper (less than 34 lb bond (128 g/m2)), there may be a waiting time for copying/printing. When you set productivity priority under the specific conditions, uneven gloss may occur or toner may not be properly applied to the image. |
IMPORTANT |
Print quality increases because the suitable fixing temperature for paper type will apply to print, but there may be a waiting time to start printing. Depending on the job, the print speed may be adversely affected during printing. |
IMPORTANT |
If you adjust this mode, paper jams may occur, and the quality of the image may be adversely affected, depending on the paper. Changing this mode may have an effect on the paper curl. If necessary, adjust the Curl Correction Level in Paper Type Management Settings. (See "Adjusting the Level of Curl Correction.") |
