Stack Bypass-B1 (Optional)

This section describes how to clear a paper jam which occurs in the Stack Bypass-B1. The location of the Stack Bypass-B1 is indicated in the following illustration.
NOTE
When removing any jammed paper from the fixing transport unit while using the Stack Bypass Alignment Tray-C2 and Long Sheet Tray-B1, leave the Stack Bypass-B1 open and gently pull out the fixing transport unit.
The following illustration indicates the location of the paper jam. Please refer to it to remove the jammed paper.

Follow the procedure described below, while referring to the location of the paper jam and the directions that appear on the touch panel display, to remove the jammed paper.

1.
Close the cover that is open.
CAUTION
When closing the cover, be careful not to get your fingers caught, as this may result in personal injury.
2.
Remove the paper that is not jammed from the Stack Bypass-B1.
3.
Open the Stack Bypass-B1.
4.
Remove any jammed paper.
1. Remove any jammed paper from the outside of the Stack Bypass-B1.
2. Remove any jammed paper from the inside of the Stack Bypass-B1.
5.
Close the Stack Bypass-B1.
CAUTION
When closing the cover, be careful not to get your fingers caught, as this may result in personal injury.
6.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
NOTE
The screen indicating the directions on how to clear the paper jam is displayed repeatedly until the paper jam is cleared.
