Loading Small Size Paper in the Paper Cassette

This section describes how to load small size paper in the paper cassette.
1
Lift the dust cover.

Spread the paper guides a little wider than the paper size.

If you want to change the size of the paper to be loaded, be sure to register the paper size in "Setting the Paper Size and Type."

Gently load the paper into the paper cassette with the print side face up, until the edge of the paper stack meets the back of the paper cassette.
Ensure that the paper stack does not exceed the load limit guides (A).

Adjust the paper guides tightly to the width of the paper.

Pick up the small paper guide from the paper cassette.

Attach the small paper guide to the paper guide and lower the small paper guide as shown below.

Adjust the paper guide tightly to the length of the paper.

Adjust the paper guides to the paper width without space.If the paper guides are loose or tight, this may result in misfeeds or paper jams.

Close the dust cover.

Place the output tray in the machine.

Lift the paper stopper.

Specify the loaded paper size and type.
