Upgrading

In order to use this version of Desktop, a license corresponding to the local license server must be authenticated. You can use Floating License Information Manager to upgrade the license for an old version to this version.
NOTE
An old version of Desktop cannot be used with an upgraded license. Do not upgrade a license unless Desktop will also be upgraded.
When you upgrade a license, a license for older versions of Desktop with an expiration date is added to the local license server. Upgrade the Desktop on the client computer before this expiration date. If you are using a virtual environment, upgrade the Desktop of the master environment.

Using an Existing Local License Server

The local license server requires applications that support the version of Desktop to use.
NOTE
If the floating licenses that are already registered do not support the version of Desktop to use, it is necessary to add or upgrade a license.
The following applications of the local license server do not need to be updated.
