List of Error Messages

This section describes the error messages that are displayed when exporting cabinets.
If other messages are displayed, follow the instructions in the message.
NOTE
In some cases, it may not be possible to resolve the problem with the steps described here.
You do not have access rights to export the data from the specified cabinet.
Please perform the operation again as a user with read or higher access.
Cause
The cabinet access privileges of the user that entered a password on the password entry screen are not "Read" or above.
Remedy
Try connecting to the cabinet again as a user with access privileges that are "Read" or above.
The specified user does not exist.
Cause
The user name for a user that does not exist was entered on the password entry screen.
Remedy
Try connecting again as a user registered in the cabinet.
Could not start Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE Desktop Data Converter Exporter because an error occurred.
Cause
An unexpected error occurred while starting Data Converter Exporter.
Remedy
Execute the program again after restarting the computer.
Could not read several export targets.
Cause
An error occurred while reading the target to export.
Remedy
Delete the item to export from the Export Target List, and try registering it again.
The specified Export Destination folder does not exist, or cannot be accessed. Specify another path.
Cause
The folder specified as the destination folder is set with the read-only attribute (in Windows).
Remedy
Cancel the read-only attribute of the folder in Windows, or specify another folder.
Could not connect to the specified cabinet.
Cause
Failed to connect to the cabinet.
Remedy
Confirm that you can connect to the cabinet normally in Document Manager.
Could not make cabinet of the export source read-only.
Check/perform the following, and try again.
- If another user is logged in, log them out.
- Start the SQL server if it is not started.
- Start Document Manager if it is not started.
Cause
Exporting cannot start because the status of the cabinet cannot be changed.
Remedy
If there are users logged in to the cabinet to export, have all users log out from the cabinet.
Check whether the Document Manager managing the cabinet to export is functioning properly.
Could not remove the read-only status of the export source cabinet.
Check/perform the following, and try again.
- If another user is logged in, log them out.
- If you are properly connected to the computer where the export source cabinet exists.
Cause
Exporting cannot start because the status of the cabinet cannot be changed.
Remedy
If there are users logged in to the cabinet to export, have all users log out from the cabinet.
Check the network status, and whether you can connect to the computer on which the cabinet to export is saved.
Cannot delete because the read-only status of the cabinets cannot be removed.
Confirm that another user is not connected, and try again.
Cause
An error occurred when deleting registration of the cabinet.
Remedy
Check whether another user is connected to the cabinet.
Could not register all cabinets as export targets because there are too many cabinets registered in Document Manager.
Register and process the remaining cabinets after processing the export of registered cabinets.
Cause
Data Converter Exporter tried to automatically retrieve cabinets when the number of cabinets registered in Document Manager exceeds 100.
Remedy
A maximum of 100 cabinets can be registered in Data Converter Exporter.
If cabinets that have been already exported or unnecessary cabinets are registered in the Export Target List, delete them.
Manually register cabinets that were not automatically registered.
Could not obtain cabinet/folder information to export.
Cause
An error occurred when automatically retrieving and registering the cabinets to export.
Remedy
Check the error log, and perform the operation again after removing the cause of the error.
An error occurred when displaying log information.
The specified file does not exist, or the related application will not operate properly.
Cause
When opening the log information file, the log file was deleted in the dialog box for selecting the file.
There is a problem with the application associated with CSV files.
Remedy
Restore the log information file from the Trash.
Check the application associated with CSV files.
The user index information of the cabinet has been changed.
Cause
The User Index settings of the target cabinet were changed while stopping the export process.
Remedy
Delete the item to export from the Export Target List, register it again, and then export it again.
Could not output the Convert Library management files.
Could not output the library registration file.
Could not output the folder management files.
Could not output the document management files.
Cause
Failed to output the following files generated while exporting.
DM Data Library management file (dtConverter.iwu)
DM Data Library registration file (dtConverter.iwr)
Library management file (dt.iwn)
Document management file (<Document Name>.iwx)
Remedy
Check the access privileges and free disk space of the folder to export to.
Depending on your environment, the location to save setting information of Data Converter Exporter may differ. Check the access privileges and the disk space of one of the following folders.
C:\ProgramData\Canon\iWDTDC\Exporter
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Canon\iWDTDC\Exporter
Could not retrieve properties information.
Cause
Failed to retrieve the property information to export.
Remedy
Confirm that Document Manager operates normally and can connect to the cabinet to export.
Try the operation again after restarting Windows.
Document was exported while its status was checked out.
Cause
You tried to export a document that was being checked out.
Remedy
Follow the procedure below.
1. Delete the cabinet or folder that contains the corresponding document from the Export Target List.
2. Cancel the checkout status of the corresponding document in Document Manager.
3. Register the cabinet/folder to Data Converter Exporter and perform the export process again.
The specified properties contain characters that cannot be converted to unicode.
Part of the information was not exported because the specified properties contain characters that cannot be converted to unicode.
Cause
The properties to export contained a string that cannot be converted to Unicode.
Remedy
Check the error log, edit the corresponding properties in Document Manager, and export them again.
