Document Types That Can Be Operated with Desktop Editor and the Quick Printing Tool
PDF documents, IWB documents, imageWARE documents, and image documents can be operated with Desktop Editor. Other documents can be operated by converting them to IWB documents if an application that can print them is installed.
Documents can also be converted to IWB documents using the Quick Printing Tool or Desktop Document Writer.

The maximum paper size that can be used in Desktop is a width or height of 47 1/4 inch (1200 mm). The maximum size that can be specified in Desktop Document Writer is A0 (46 13/16 inch x 33 7/64 inch / 1189 mm x 841 mm). However, the maximum paper size that can be printed on is the maximum paper size of the device you are using.
imageWARE documents created with Publishing Manager Version 3.0 or later can be operated with Desktop Editor and the Quick Printing Tool.
Documents other than "*.jpg/*.jpeg", "*.bmp", and "*.tif/*.tiff" can be operated as image documents, according to the codecs installed on the computer.
When you open a document other than an IWB document with Desktop Editor, the document is converted to an IWB document, except when opening a PDF document from Desktop Browser by clicking [Annotations]/[Open] on the ribbon, by selecting [Open]/[Insert Annotations] in the right-click menu, by double-clicking it, or by pressing the [Enter] key.
If other documents are used with Desktop Editor or the Quick Printing Tool, [Print] or [Printing] of the application associated with the document may be displayed. In this case, select Desktop Document Writer as the output printer and print.
If other documents cannot be converted to IWB documents with Desktop Editor or the Quick Printing Tool, use Desktop Document Writer to convert them to an IWB document. For more information, see the following.
