Checking the Status of Devices with the Quick Printing Tool

When you set to display device status in the Quick Printing Tool, the status of the device is displayed with a device status icon when the mouse pointer is placed over the Quick Printing Tool. The device status icon changes according to the status of the printer.
NOTE
In order to display the device status in the Quick Printing Tool, you need to configure the view settings. For more information on these settings, see the following.
The status of the device selected in [Printer Name] on the [Basic Settings] tab of [Detailed Settings for imageRUNNER ADVANCE Desktop Quick Printing Tool] is displayed.

Place the mouse pointer over Quick Printing Tool.
The device status is displayed.
NOTE
The monitoring period of the Quick Printing Tool is 30 seconds. If 30 seconds elapse, the device status icon is hidden.

Device Status Display Icons

The icon displayed on the top right of Quick Printing Tool indicates the device status.
 (Ready)
Displayed when the device is running correctly.
When the mouse pointer is placed over it, the status message <Ready> is displayed.
 (Error)
Displayed in the following cases.
When an error such as a paper jam, toner out, or paper out error has occurred, meaning printing cannot proceed.
When the device status cannot be confirmed due to network trouble or the power being turned off
When the mouse pointer is placed over it, the status message <Error> is displayed.
 (Warning)
Displayed in the following cases when a device warning has occurred but printing can be performed.
When the device is running out of toner
When a paper drawer is out of paper
When the mouse pointer is placed over it, the status message <Warning> is displayed.
 (Getting Status)
Displayed when the status of the device is being retrieved, such as immediately after placing the mouse pointer over the Quick Printing Tool.
When the mouse pointer is placed over it, the status message <Getting Status> is displayed.
 (Monitoring Not Possible)
Displayed in the following cases.
When only the fax has been configured
When the device is one in which monitoring is not possible
When the device information could not be retrieved
When there is no display icon
(Not Monitored)
If monitoring is not being performed, the icon is not displayed.
 (Offline)
Displayed when the device is offline.
When the mouse pointer is placed over it, the status message <Offline> is displayed.
NOTE
When multiple statuses have been obtained, they are displayed in the following order of priority.
Error > Offline > Warning > Ready
If the device set in the Quick Printing Tool cannot be monitored because it has been deleted by another user, etc., reinstall the device and configure the Quick Printing Tool again.
