Removing / Attaching the Long Sheet Tray

If a paper jam occurs when the long sheet tray is attached, use the following steps to remove the long sheet tray. After clearing the paper jam, re-attach the long sheet tray by following the procedure below.

Removing the Long Sheet Tray

Push the output tray back in, leaving approximately 3 1/8" (80.0 mm) of it still extended.

Remove the Long Sheet Tray.

Attaching the Long Sheet Tray

Pull out the upper output tray of the finisher to the maximum length.

Push the output tray back in, leaving approximately 3 1/8" (80.0 mm) of it still extended.

Attach the long sheet tray.
Attach the long sheet tray with its bent end facing down.

Pull out the output tray to the maximum length.
Make sure that the long sheet tray has been attached as described below.
1 The long sheet tray and the output tray are parallel.
2 There is a gap between the long sheet tray and the output tray.
3 The long sheet tray has been attached on the outside of projections on each side
(only when there are projections).
