Turning ON the Machine

This section describes how to turn ON the machine.

Make sure that the power plug is firmly inserted into the power outlet.

Turn ON the optional devices.

Open the power switch cover and press the power switch toward "

Close the power switch cover.

The Main Power indicator on the control panel (Control Panel) lights up and the startup screen appears on the touch panel display.

IMPORTANT
If the Main Power indicator on the control panel does not light up even though the power switch is ON, check the breaker and make sure that it is ON.

NOTE
You can select the screen displayed immediately after the machine is turned ON. <Default Screen after Startup/Restoration> The response of the touch panel display and keys on the control panel may not be optimal immediately after the machine is turned ON. If the machine is connected to a powered off Macintosh computer by USB cable, the computer may turn on automatically when this machine does. In this case, disconnect the USB cable from the machine. You may also be able to solve this problem by using a USB hub between the machine and the computer.

The response of the touch panel display and keys on the control panel may not be optimal immediately after the machine is turned ON.
