Retrieving Print Restriction Information Applied When Using AMS
When printing using AMS, you need to retrieve print restriction information.
In the following cases, retrieve print restriction information again:
When the print restriction information (role information) registered in the device is changed
When the user information (user name/password) used for authentication is changed
When the user's association with a role is changed
When the IP address/host name of the device used for printing is changed
An error will occur when printing if the print restriction information in the device and driver do not match. Be aware that documents for which printing is only allowed once will be prohibited from printing again.
1.
Display the [AMS] sheet.
2.
Click the [Get Restriction Information] button.
If the [Confirm Password for Authentication] dialog box is displayed, enter the password for authentication.
NOTE |
If you are logged on to the computer as a user with Windows administrator privileges and the IP address/host name of the device to use for printing is not specified, the [Set IP Address/Host Name] dialog box is displayed. Specify the device to use for printing. If you are logged on to the computer as a user without Windows administrator privileges and the IP address/host name of the device to use for printing is not specified, an error message is displayed.
