Correcting Irregularities in Shaded Areas
When the machine prints a document containing a considerably large area of color fill, it automatically makes image adjustments to prevent irregularities from appearing in the fill area. Nonetheless, irregularities may occur. When printing on plain paper or recycled paper, you can use this function to control the occurrence of irregularities in a fill area.

<Adjustment/Maintenance> <Adjust Image Quality> <Fill Area Image Adjustment Mode>.

Select the appropriate mode for the paper you use, and press <OK>.
<Mode 1> is for paper made in Japan.
<Mode 2> is for paper made outside of Japan.
<Mode 3> is for paper made outside of Japan and intended for use in North America.
