Paper Jams in the Feeder
Check the paper jam location on the screen, and follow the procedure below to remove the original.

Remove the originals in the original supply tray.

Pull the lever to open the cover.

If an original is jammed in the feeder cover, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.

Lift the release lever, and check whether an original is jammed while rotating the dial.

 | If the original is jammed, turn the dial counterclockwise until part of the original comes out over the original output tray, and then gently pull it out. If the original is jammed, it moves to the original output tray. |
 | Lower the release lever. |

After removing all jammed originals, close the feeder cover.

Lift up the feeder, and check if there is a jammed original.

Return the feeder to its original position.
Continue following the instructions on the screen to proceed with the interrupted operation or continue clearing paper jams.

When closing the feeder, take care that your eyes are not exposed to light emitted through the platen glass. |
